When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Dear Mom,

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter''''''''s car accident. I hope she is okay (except for her teeth). She has several options at this point. I would like to be able to see her for a consultation appointment so I can take digital photos/images and review with you . That way we can discuss her options for now and for the future. Advancements are made every day in implant technology, so it may be that implants become an excellent treatment for her when the time comes. We provide excellent family dentistry (and we are expert cosmetic dentists) in a pampering atmosphere. I will do the consultation complimentary for you (I''''''''m a mom, too). I look forward to meeting you both. sincerely, Dr. Susan Estep

She can''''t even consider an implant until she is around 17 years old. At this point is essential tha the space be maintained so at the proper age treatment on a final, non removal prosthesis can be done. I would like to see her for an exam and evaluation .

Sindersly,

Dr. David Zelby

Dental implants are not advised until a child finishes growth.

The reason being that the teeth move as the face and skull grows.

An implant placed today will not move with the other parts of the face.

A female normally grows until 16 to 18 years of age.

There are several ways to monitor growth in addition to age.

Also, it is extremely important to negotiate with your car insurance now for the costs of the procedures later.

They will not pay for an accident that happened years ago.
