When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Dear future patient,

I can see that you are having (or have had) some extractions. Ideally, I would like to see you for a consultation appointment before you have the extractions...however if the teeth have already been extracted, we can still plan from there. I can coordinate and plan your entire treatment - and find who the best specialists are for your case. When you are having this much work done, you should trust your mouth, teeth and smile to an experienced dentist. I have successfully treated many patients like you -- to help them look and feel better. Please call me (770) 998-3838 (or e-mail me at susanestep@gmail.com) to schedule a consultation. I realize we may be quite a drive for you - but we are worth the miles, I assure you! Check out our website for more information www.AtlantaDentalSpa.com

Sincerely,

Dr. Susan Estep

Hello Concrete Guy!

I will be glad to work with you on dental implants and oral surgery to remove the teeth you need out. The cost is approximately $150 per tooth for extractions and $2300 per implant plus the abutments and crowns or dentures that go on top of the implants. Many different treatment options exist for you, from 2 to 10 implants per arch (upper or lower arches). There are six ways to place teeth on top of the implants, so you would choose the best for your situation and financial wherewithall. I would be glad to give you all the options and to identify the best of them. If money is no option, then you have the freedom to plan the best given your bone availability. We base our plan on first your desire to have either fixed or removable teeth, then on your most stable and predictable option. if you can afford that one, we go there. If not, we go to other options that may have less numbers of implants in the plan. Implants save bone and allow you to have good chewing for more years. We will discuss all this as you wish in your exam and consut appointments. General fees for such dentistry ranges from $10,000 to 80,000 depending on many factors. All are good plans, some are more stable and durable as the number of implants increases to minimize the forces on one area of your mouth. Spreading the support around to many areas of bone, keeps your bone strong...like using muscle, it grows stronger with use.

You have not been to a dentist in three years.Have you had these teeth extracted? How do you know you are a good candidate for implants? Do you want two, four six implants.....What kind of prosthesis do you want? One that is removable, one that is fixed What expectations do you have of a treatment? If you say you want to build a house, and ask for an estimate, how can you expect one until one does site development and blue prints ? The point is you need to speak with someone about different treatment plans. I am a prosthodontist trained in this area and you are more then welcomed to bring whatever records you have to find out about the various treatments available to you. You then decide what you want to do and what you want to spend.
