Case Description
Hi, I'm looking for an Atlanta area dentist who does single tooth mini implants. I have researched them a lot and need 4. I like the minimal invasiveness, cost, and healing time. I'm considering going out of state, but figured someone must have experience with them.
Thanks for any help. :)

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Glad to get your request for info on our mini implant services. I have placed and restored short, mini, regular and immediate implants for many years. What I know is that the implant can''''t dictate the treatment plan. The patient''''s bone and the load expected to be placed dictates what size implants can be used. Mini implants have a good place in our practice but are not the answer for all areas of the mouth. You risk losing them if placed in the thin bone of the posterior part of the mouth. One would usually place one mini implant for each root of a tooth it replaces. In the posterior areas, teeth have 2, 3 or even 4 roots each. Mini''''s would cost much more than regular implants in that case...therefore no advantage. Longevity is the most important aspect of dental implants. I''''ll be glad to place mini''''s for you where indicated. You may find other options superior in time and cost, so I can discuss those options too. SincerelyBill Williams DMD, MAGD

Hello,Mini implants were originally designed for lower dentures as a temporary measure for immediate denture stabilization. Over the past few years many dentists have been using them as a long term implant and yes they have been approved for long term denture stabilization. I can tell you from experience that they were not made for crown and bridge and they have a higher failure rate than conventional implants. In my opinion they were not designed for crown and bridge and therefore should not be considered. We can give you a conventional implant for $1100.00 (non mini) and an implant crown for $1100.00. Assuming you have adequate bone and do not need grafting. Please call 706-429-9991 for a free consultation and panoramic radiograph.
