Case Description
I have had dentures for many years. I now need surgical implants (2 in front of lower jaw). I can only have 2 because I do not have enough back lower jaw to hold more. I wll also need both top and bottom dentures. The bill is very high and I need to know if it is within the normal range for my procedure.

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

Good morning- Yes what you are referring to is called an overdenture. You are only getting the implants on the lower jaw, correct? Our denture prices are $2500 per arch (upper or lower).Over Dentures are a little more complicated that regular dentures because they have to be more precise to engage with the implants.

I am glad to assist in your dental reconstruction by giving some answers to costs normally seen for this service. Implants and attachments can run $6000 for two of them that are regular size. Over dentures can be $3500 and a full upper denture can abe from $1500 to $3000 depending on what type is made.Mini implants can sometimes be used in the anterior mandible and they are $1200 each. Four of them is often needed.Hope this helps...we would be glad to assist if needed.Bill Williams, DMD, MAGD

Hello,Assuming you have enough bone you can either get two conventional implants or four mini implants. Difference between the two is one takes two to three months before you engage the implants and the mini option is immediate denture stabilization. Or you can do combination of the two. Just depends on quantity and quality of bone. Minis were originally designed to be temporary they have recently been approved for long term denture stabilization. Conventional implants have a longer proven track record, and if you have the bone they should be your first option to consider. Mini option four implants with sedation, attachments, dentures, relines is approximately $3529.00Conventional option with two implants, sedation, attachments, dentures, and relines is approximately $5125.00
