Debra Gray King is the president of the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry. She is one of only two women in the world to have achieved the highest level of competence in cosmetic dentistry according to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr.King is regarded by many of her peers as the nations' leading female cosmetic dentist, which resulted in her selection as a featured cosmetic dentist on ABCs show "Extreme Makeover."
Dr. King believes that improving her patients' smiles through conservative, cosmetic dental techniques has a positive impact on their overall appearance and self-confidence. Among other procedures, she focuses on porcelain veneers, cosmetic bonding, bleaching and scalpel-less "cosmetic smile lift," which gives the patient a more youthful appearance.
A pioneer in her field, as of July 2003, King is one of only 35 dentists in the world to be accredited and achieve Fellowship status with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. King teaches other dentists the Art of Aesthetic Dentistry, an area that is not taught in dental school. She in great demand to lecture extensively at educational seminars throughout the world sharing her philosophies, experience and expertise. Currently, the leading programs in the world are the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum (PAC-Live) at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, The Hornbrook Group and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. King has graduated from both and since its inception, she has been an instructor teaching cosmetic dentistry to dentists internationally at PAC-Live and has been appointed to the faculty at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco Dental School.
She is the founding president of the Atlanta Society of Cosmetic Dentistry, a foundation dedicated to educating, motivating and stimulating other dental professionals.
